The success of the Temu platform is undeniable, but fears are increasingly expressed about the quality of certain products found there.

Concerns are particularly felt among many parents who purchase various items for their children through Amazon’s Chinese competitor.
In fact, several products that are sold on Temu are the subject of recalls.
Two days ago, a children’s hooded bathrobe was recalled by Health Canada due to a flammability risk.
In recent months, several other items have suffered the same fate, including car seats.
Several Canadian, American and European associations are concerned about this situation and are calling on consumers to be vigilant.
“What worries me is the quality of the products, because in certain cases we can put the consumer at risk. It’s dangerous,” proclaims the co-founder of Illuxi, Philippe Richard Bertrand.
“My neighbors bought bicycle helmets for their children in Temu. They paid $2.99! […] It’s the same thing with clothing: a towel for 99 cents. I saw that earlier; we agree that we are not in the best cotton. We are not in Egyptian cotton here, we are in cotton cheap. Is it flammable?” he says.
The latter also mentions the misadventure of a work colleague who bought a telephone cord on Temu which almost caught fire.
Philippe Richard Bertrand also affirms that he personally refuses to purchase any product whatsoever on the Chinese platform.
