Anne Hidalgo speeds up… to slow down better. The day after the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games, the mayor of Paris confirmed the upcoming reduction in speed on the ring road, from 70 to 50 km/h.
The suspense was not so much about the measure, which has been in the pipeline for a (long) time, but about its effective date. In an interview with the newspaper West France On August 31, the socialist elected official had set the application of this new rule for “during October”. This Monday morning, Anne Hidalgo specified the timetable. The measure will apply on October 1.
