Senegal face Burundi in search of first win in 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

The Senegalese national team will be a heavy guest on Burundi, this evening, Monday, in the second round of the twelfth and final group of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Bingu National Stadium in Malawi will host the Burundi vs Senegal match at 4 pm Cairo time.

Senegal is in the twelfth and final group, which includes Burkina Faso, Burundi and Malawi, where they compete for the two qualifying tickets for the African Nations Cup, for the first and second place teams.

Burundi tops Group 12 with 3 points, while Burkina Faso and Senegal are tied in second and third place with one point each, while Malawi is at the bottom of the table with no points.

Sadio Mane’s teammates are seeking to achieve victory and the first victory in the African qualifiers after the Lions of Teranga tied with Burkina Faso (1-1) in the first round match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled to be held in Morocco.

While Burundi is armed with its first victory over Malawi with a score of 3-2, and will try hard to achieve a second consecutive victory to move away at the top of the group and get very close to snatching one of the two qualification cards.

Senegal is awaiting the match between Burkina Faso and Malawi, tomorrow, Tuesday, in the second round of Group 12 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, to re-arrange the group’s teams.
