Next week, France will be under the influence of a depression. A depression system stretched from Greenland to the Mediterranean is channeling a maritime polar air mass over our regions, bringing rain, showers, snow in the mountains, cool weather and noticeable wind.
It’s often gloomy weather that will accompany you next week. The umbrella and raincoat will be very useful. You’ll have to get out your warm clothes. You might even need to turn on the heating. As you can see, autumn is coming in force this week from September 10 to 15.
A rainy Monday in the north
The famous cold drop responsible for the bad weather since the end of August will finally move towards Belgium. But it will bring in its wake abundant rains north of the Seine. The weather will be unstable with showers elsewhere, except in the Mediterranean where the mistral and tramontane will bring back the sun.
Tuesday, temporarily calmer weather
With the wind direction to the northwest, it will be cooler. Showers will occur in the east. In the west, the weather is expected to be calmer, but cloudy. There will still be as much wind in the Mediterranean under the sun.
Wednesday, the colder weather will get worse, snow will arrive in the mountains
A polar air mass will rush into France. It will bring unstable and cool weather with widespread showers across ¾ of the country, except in the south-east. Snow is expected from 2000 meters on the Pyrenees.
Thursday and Friday, autumn sets in, a little less showers
The weather situation will remain driven by a depression in the North Sea while the Azores high pressure system will try to return via the Atlantic. In this context, we can expect cool and unstable weather over 2/3 of the country with showers slowly easing, especially in the southwest. In the Mediterranean, conditions will remain very windy. It will snow in the Alps above 2000 meters. Temperatures will be low, between 5 and 12°C in the morning and 13 to 21°C in the afternoon, an All Saints level.
