WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – A First Alert for frost potential early Saturday morning as temperatures slip back into the 30s. The best risk of frost will be in the Northwoods, while patchy frost could develop in typically colder spots in Central Wisconsin. High pressure is going to be controlling our weather for the next several days with a good amount of sunshine on tap each day. Temperatures will rebound back into the 70s by Sunday, while running in the 80s during the afternoons for much of the new work week.

If you have temperature-sensitive plants outside, a First Alert for the risk of frost late Friday night into early Saturday morning. Plan to either cover those plants or if they are potted, bring them indoors for the night. Partly cloudy to clear Friday evening, then mainly clear overnight into Saturday morning. Lows slipping back into the low to mid 30s in the north, while mid 30s to near 40 in Central Wisconsin.

Warmer conditions are tap for the new work week. Sunshine along with a few clouds from Monday through Friday. Highs will rise to the upper 70s on Monday, low 80s on Tuesday, and then in the low to mid 80s on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
