“Prière detouch”, published by Donjon Ed, is a collegial and transdisciplinary book signed by ten authors under the co-direction of Patrick Moureau from Vannes, dermatologist and essayist, and from Brest Dominique Le Nen, professor emeritus at the University of Brest. “This book is the end of a trilogy, after “The Fabulous Destiny of the Hand” and “The Skin, a Work of Art in Itself,” explains Patrick Moureau.
Ten authors
“The common thread of the book is the hand and what each author takes away from it in their profession,” specifies Dominique Le Nen. Contributed to this collective were a pharmacist-biologist, Corinne Déchelette; a linguist Bertrand Verine; hand surgeon Edward de Keating-Hart; a master glass artist André Laurenti; a psychologist Nadège Roche-Labarbe; an osteopath, Dominique Vergnaud; a philosopher, Corrina Coulmas; and a lawyer Françoise Hecquet.
A collegial, quasi-sociological essay, “Prayer of Touch” offers readers a global look, a global reading, a dialogue between science, medicine, art and literature around touch.
