En September, he received the Gold Medal for Arts-Sciences-Letters in Paris, in view of his young musical work and his fight against discrimination which is more frequent than one might believe.
The newspaper Liberationfollowing RCF Bordeaux in October, “Faire face” (APF magazine), and Southwest in August, interviewed the 31-year-old classical pianist and lecturer William Theviot at the end of 2024, a young musician based in New Aquitaine, who is preparing his project for a Foundation for artists with disabilities or vulnerabilities.
The foundation project
William Theviot recently met the Minister for Autonomy and People with Disabilities, proposing in particular to set up his Foundation for example at Château Cazalet in Pessac or at Maison Carrée d’Arlac in Mérignac.
A foundation that engages in a proactive and personalized way to support classical musicians with disabilities who are often viewed with social denial!

He is currently filming a documentary film around his activity (below some images with the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Education), which saw him go this year 2024 notably to Geneva in Switzerland, to Seoul in Korea of the South for the 2nd time, in its conference concerts in French and English, at the Gaston Berger auditorium of the Cité des sciences (in the presence of Miss France Handicap, a former harpist), at the La Salle Rochefoucauld of the Elan Foundation found, at “La Ferme du Buisson” in Noisiel.
At the opening of the Hors Jeu En Jeu festival in Cenon, also at the beginning of November, he spoke about this project, in front of an audience enthusiastic about this initiative.
William Theviot is open to receiving messages from people with disabilities or who feel different and concerned by this hitherto unique project.
He is currently seeking assistance via an association for a person in charge of communication support and a webmaster to design the Foundation’s website independent of William Theviot’s website.
