A new project manager for Books and reading in Brittany

At the start of 2025, the Book and Reading team in welcomes a new Project Manager Publics far from and reading, Sara Mammad de Beauregart. It supports and coordinates projects on a regional scale relating to the prevention and fight against illiteracy (notably the “Easy to read” approach), reading in hospitals, and reading and disability.

She also forms a pair with Lauriane Mordellet for the Culture-Reading-Justice mission, taking care of the regional Reading-Justice mission.

Sara Mammad de Beauregart comes from a double course followed at the University of 2, with a master’s degree in psychocriminology and a master’s degree in educational sciences applied to information and communication technologies.

At the end of her university career, she worked in Aube in a closed educational center, which constitutes an alternative to prison for minors, where she developed projects around video games and virtual identity. Then, she worked in Quédillac (35) in animation and digital mediation on subjects linked to the digital divide by offering digital training cycles adapted for seniors.

After that, she became involved in the field of public reading. Having become a librarian, she contributed to the creation and development of a third-place media library in a rural area, in Landujan (35). In recent years, in connection with the missions of libraries and the values ​​of the third-place project, it has committed to developing partnerships, actions and projects focused on public participation, accessibility and work with so-called specific audiences.
