If the start of the year is often synonymous with retrospective, it is also a way to remember people who have left their mark on the City. Without a doubt, Pascal Licari, owner of the Chat'Pitre bookstore 32, rue Gambetta, is one of them. Pascal was a bookseller of yesteryear and not a simple book seller. Passionate about his profession, his knowledge was communicative. Of great culture, we could talk with him as much about the latest Goncourt as about the pocket book prize or the Lycéen prize, including the classics. After six years at the helm of Chat Pitre 32, Pascal Licari handed over last May, happy to have found a buyer to support the customers whom he was able to retain through his welcome and advice.

His successor Nicolas Cabaret is not a beginner because although he had moved away from for a while, he grew up “among the books” that his father sold and worked for the last ten years in a bookstore in Corsica. Nicolas has now made his mark and is continuing the adventure of Chat Pitre 32 in the same spirit, bringing his personal touch as a comic book fan and specialist in children's literature. Well-stocked shelves of children's literature of which Nolam, 4 years old, the youngest of the family, is the first tester. Nicolas also continues the signing sessions. Recently, he received Natalia Sever and her first book “The lights never stop shining”. A native of , she lives in the South-West where she resides and has been teaching history and geography for around twenty years. She thus presented her thriller and first book with two main characters, Frédéric and Pauline, both working for the French police. They participate in the investigation methods of “cold cases” in New York. A multifaceted novel.

Even if the holidays are over, there is always a good opportunity to give a book and there will be many of them for the new year since there are still 358 days to please.
