A few hours before Christmas Eve, Place Espérance-Folchet and its weekly market had reserved a place for JIEL, who came to present a second work published last November by Vox Scriba. In the middle of the crowds that usually reign under the old wheat market, leaning against the Fluris stele, Jean-Louis Sanchez alias JIEL took part with renewed pleasure in a signing session. The opportunity for the Chalabrois exiled in Montagne Noire, a promontory from which he sees the refuge of “Turguilla”, to come and meet his many readers. As the morning progressed and thanks to numerous exchanges shared under the old wheat market, a question often came up on the lips, everyone being inclined to wonder why at JIEL, this sudden desire to “… redo the decor” ? A reference to the title of his latest production, second collection of poetry, short stories and short stories, illustrated by his friend and accomplice Jean-Louis Cabrol. The interviews continued in the afternoon under the paneling of the council room at the town hall, in the company of Florence Cortès, creator in 2011 of the publishing house Vox Scriba.
