The Victor Duruy high school will celebrate its 120th anniversary in March 2025. For the occasion, the management is organizing a big party while the association of former students and teachers will publish a souvenir book.

Victor Duruy high school is preparing to celebrate its 120th anniversary next March. For the occasion, the school management is actively preparing a special day to celebrate this event. Partner of this day, the Lycée Victor Duruy association, made up of teachers from yesterday and today, and former students, naturally joins in this celebration, and with great joy.

More than 600 class photos

“Our association has set itself the objective of bringing to life the memory of this establishment, strongly anchored in Bagné’s heritage. Also, we will actively participate in this anniversary organized by the school management. DVDs, CDs, binders of more than 600 class photos, materials and documents that have marked the life of the high school will be there. But we also worked, under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Chapoulie, former high school teacher, on the writing of a booklet entitled “1905-2025, the high school of yesterday, today and tomorrow” which will be published in early March. A long story filled with anecdotes, photos, his life today and plans for the future. A treasure that you will love to discover”, invites the association to read through the voice of Michel Garros.

The association has decided to launch a subscription which allows, until the beginning of March, to order the booklet at an advantageous price (€6) via the association's website (www.notlyceebagneres.com). It will be given to you at the party or you can pick it up at the school reception and even ask for it to be sent to you by post.
