The Book Fair celebrates authors inspired by the Pyrenees, with 52 confirmed participants and a rich program.

“Le Salon du Livre de Frontignan en Comminges” wants to honor the authors of books, whether they are residents of the region or simply inspired by the territory of Barousse and Haut-Comminges. On the initiative of Christian Louis, in collaboration with the municipality of Frontignan, this show aims to be a cultural showcase in the heart of the Pyrenees, celebrating the literary wealth of this beautiful region.

During the first meeting of the cultural association, which was held that day in the presence of Mayor Yves Planas, the atmosphere was one of conviviality and enthusiasm. The volunteers, passionate about literature and local culture, came together to finalize the final details of the configuration and logistics of the show. The poster was validated, as was the selection process for the invited authors.

Each participant received a registration form by email, to complete and return to the ACFC, in order to guarantee smooth and efficient organization. Among the people from Barousse, we can find Christophe Maruffy de Ferrère, Laurette Grossemann de Mauléon-Barousse, Stanislas Prymerski de Bize, Jean-Marc Chaduc de Thèbe and the publisher Ghislain Léon d'Esbareich.

On November 20, the first responses to the authors' appeal began to arrive, and on November 22, the confirmation letters were sent. The list of participants is growing, and excitement is growing within the organizing team. The means of communication, notably Facebook, play a crucial role in promoting the event, with more than a thousand friends joining the page each week. This will allow everyone to follow the progress of the organization and discover the 52 authors, for the moment, living in Haut-Comminges and Barousse.

The volunteer meeting was marked by a great working atmosphere and good humor. Every organizational detail was reviewed, and the show regulations were also validated. This fair promises to be a beautiful celebration of literature and local culture, strengthening the links between authors and their audience.

Preparations continue, and the enthusiasm is palpable as this promising event approaches. The “Salon du Livre de Frontignan-de-Comminges” group announces growing interest in this event. The inhabitants of the Pyrenees, as well as numerous authors, publishers and booksellers, will be able to follow the life of this show, which is not limited to a simple day of signings. Indeed, this event will be an opportunity for enriching encounters, exchanges of ideas and literary discoveries.

Every organizational detail was reviewed, and the show regulations were also validated. The volunteers discussed the different activities planned, the entertainment that will enhance the day, as well as ways to make this event accessible to all.

The organizers are determined to make this first edition a memorable success, and they invite all book lovers to join them in celebrating the literary wealth of their region.
