And there, the Verlaine author wants to continue his momentum “my first work on the Resistance worked so well“, he explains today. He actually sold 200. Proof that the theme arouses interest.

This new work will be a continuation of the previous one. Simply because the story is not finished, there is still material to be processed. “It will complete the first volume, it will always be the same theme”explains David Fraiture who admits to having been contacted by other people, once his first volume was released.

“I got caught up in the game”

And they had documents to provide him. “I got caught up in the game.” So, the Verlaine author is launching an appeal to anyone who has documents, photos, letters, archives of all kinds on the 15 (former) communes of Verlaine up to Hermalle-sous-Huy. Anyone who wishes to testify can contact him. “I’m going to start writing this winter, I already have quite a few documents, I’m going to process everything. I also have documents left that I had received for the first work, but which I had discarded, because I had to restrict.” This second book will certainly not be bigger than the first but it will be complementary. “I have already planned four chapters.”

The first volume had the support of the Province of Liège which was responsible for printing. “It’s a little premature to contact them now, but I will.”
