One day, at a book fair, a lady told me something like this:

“Today’s authors don’t know how to write, there is no longer a real style. Literature is no longer what it used to be.”

Not at all, my good lady.

This novel with a simple story, written by someone else, would probably be very banal and would have little interest.

Here there is a style that does not let go of you. It is not the story that keeps you in suspense, but the style, so much it is poignant, fast, efficient, sharp, without dead time, always in the action. The dialogues are included in the action, it is a desperate escape. A style in total symbiosis with the story told. There is an alchemy that pins us from the first to the last word.

It is a verbose style, in a very positive sense. There are a lot of words, we are in absolute rhythm.

And then there are the characters, so well portrayed, we believe in them 100%, we are surprised, astonished, a flamboyant style that carries you away and creates beings so human, different but strong, very strong. Striking.

I hesitated for a long time to delve into this story which can be scary.

I do not regret this journey into the hearts of men and women.

A journey to the heart of intimate feelings.

A tiring but enriching journey.

Just a book about life and its mysteries.

Written from the heart, without clichés and so true.
