Baseball Bob launches his second children’s book

Following the success achieved with the launch of his first children’s illustrated album last October, Trois-Rivières author Bob McDuff confirmed the release of his second album in the Baseball Bob children’s series. In this new book, Baseball Bob and the Girl, Sarah wants to get a tryout for the boys’ team, but the boys give her a hard time.

The first book in a series of six, Baseball Bob and the Penguin, had its fair share of success on the shelves. It featured a young boy, who came from the stands to replace someone who was absent, despite having one less arm.

It was thanks to a friend, Paul Gauthier, the founder of the LG2 communication company, that the Baseball Bob series was born. It was he who made the suggestion to the author to write books for young people about baseball given his passion, knowledge and experiences in the field.

Mr. McDuff therefore decided to move forward with his concept of stories about baseball in the form of six illustrated books aimed at young people from 4 years old to the beginning of adolescence, but which will also interest parents and grandparents. Each of the stories teaches a life lesson, including achieving your dreams despite a physical disability, sexism and bullying.
