The fourth edition of the festival dedicated to crime fiction will take place on June 21 and 22 at the national police academy in Nîmes.

Fans of crime fiction, investigations and the police environment will find the crime fiction academy. The festival, which will celebrate its fourth edition this year, is back on June 21 and 22. After an opening ceremony and awards ceremonies, by invitation on Thursday June 20, the national police academy will open to the public on Friday (2 p.m. – 6 p.m.). From 5:30 p.m., an episode of the series “Family flair, desire for murder” will be broadcast and followed by a debate “From the written word to the screen” but only by reservation.

We will allow our students to discover the school and their profession. It will be the meeting of two audiences. There will also be a drawing competition, on the theme of burglary, with CM2 students from the Jean-d’Ormesson school. The idea is not to recruit but to make the police officers better known » explains Katell Peres, the director of the police academy. On Saturday, the festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with workshops in X city and a conference on profiling with Sandrine Skiller.

An open day on Saturday

The festival will also be enhanced by a crime scene with technical and scientific police experts, escape games, road safety workshops and laser shooting. At the same time, the national police academy is organizing an open day on Saturday June 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the program, a demonstration on the main courtyard “arresting dangerous individuals” with the canine brigade. Then the presence of motorcyclists from the national police and a demonstration by the canine brigade. This 2024 edition will be the first to benefit from a subsidy from the city of Nîmes, to the tune of €2,000.
