Nadine Chatillon, resident of Humbligny, brings to life and exhibits them in Henrichemont

The Henrichemont media library team is honoring a resident of Humbligny, Nadine Chatillon.

And what could be more normal for this lady to exhibit in a library, she who sculpts and folds ! His exhibition brings together “poetry and meticulousness on paper” as the presentation poster indicates.

This passion was born at Nadine Chatillon a few years ago, with the desire to make small objects to pass the time.

Folded books, carved books

A meeting, then explanations collected on the internet, all he had to do was get started. A first sculpture created, then two, then three… until it was exhibited at the Humbligny Christmas market.

There, she met the head of the Henrichemont media library, Christine Potelune, who invited her to come and present her work.

“Folding is much more complex than sculpture,” according to Nadine Chatillon. However, sculpture requires time, patience and attention to detail to bring to life, for example, the face of Brassens that it presents.

Pencil, scissors, tweezers…

A cut, page by page, with no possible error otherwise you have to start all over again, is carried out.

Two days of work are necessary to create a character with a book height and a number of pages to respect.

A pencil, a pair of scissors, a double decimeter and tweezers are the only tools used. Nadine Chatillon uses different folding techniques.
