Second volume of the “Paris Metro 2033” Trilogy

This is in response to the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky Metro 2033 that Pierre Bordage wrote Paris Metro 2033a considerably longer work (3 long volumes).
On the cover it says this:
By responding to Dmitry Glukhovsky’s invitation to write a sister work to “Métro 2033”, Pierre Bordage found a writing field suited to him. He wonderfully combines his passion for the great founding myths of humanity and his hatred of fanaticism.

And so it starts with Left Bankit continues with Right bank. The official pitch, at the back of the book, is as follows:

In 2033, humans have been driven from the surface, which is now uninhabitable.
In Paris, the survivors took refuge in the depths of the metropolitan area. Communities are established at certain Left Bank stations, more or less in contact, often in conflict; the surface is feared because it is irradiated; Rive Droite is a cursed place.
In the meanders of the Parisian tunnels, in the absence of light, emotions are more vivid, resentments more tenacious, hatreds more exacerbated. A dark and baroque work, in three volumes: “Rive Gauche”, “Rive Droite”, “Cité”.

I highly recommend reading volume 1. Left Bank before tackling volume 2 because it begins without prior reminder, without summary, directly connected to the end of volume 1!
Two men and two women therefore went to the left bank, a completely different world where animals, obviously zoo survivors, took possession of the place. At the same time, we continue to follow “political” developments on the right bank. Low blows, eliminations, machinations, it’s all there. It’s like we’re in the political world of real life!
We are already at more than 900 pages, counting those of volume 1. No doubt, Pierre Bordage has some inspiration! And we wonder what he will unearth for us in volume 3 Quoted !
