Barely five years after its first edition at “Hors collection”, Jean-Pierre Dionnet is releasing a corrected version of his memories entitled My Fates. Opportunity to return to this unusual editorial episode and to the way in which this great defender of gender cultures sees the evolution of the imagination.

Why a release from this My moires five years after the first edition?

It was sold out, and had sold little due to lack of restocking. There was therefore a wait for those who had not been able to obtain it. And I felt remorse. Christophe Quillien, independent journalist and great comic book connoisseur, who co-wrote the book with me, had difficulty getting me to give birth. I had sometimes lied by omission. For example, I had forgotten my old friend Boris Bergman, with whom I am on the phone several times a week. How could I? I also wanted to correct a certain amount of erroneous or overly elliptical information. I made lace. It’s a new book. Anyone who reads both versions carefully will see around forty changes.
