At 31 years old, Marc Marquez is already a legend in motorcycle sport. Crowned eight times world champion, the Spanish rider is, with the Italians Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi, one of only three to have six or more titles in Moto GP, the premier category. Despite an incredible sense of driving, the champion was seriously injured and had to give up four long years, before coming back even stronger. This biography is written by journalist Michel Turco, a Moto GP specialist. He deciphers the character and gets those close to him to talk. The book is illustrated with 80 photos, some of which come from the Spanish pilot’s personal collection.

Extract. A true testing ground for Alpinestars, Marc Marquez has also been one for Shoeï, the helmet brand which also equips him since its debut in Grand Prix. “Fortunately Marc didn’t hit his head as often as he fell,” notes Michael Rivoire, head of Racing Service Shoei. He is not the pilot who has destroyed the most helmets.”
