The selection of the 2025 High School History Book Prize

At the end of the award ceremony to Arthur Asseraf, the organizing committee presented the official selection of works for the 2025 edition:

  • The Plebs, a popular history of Rome,
    Nicolas Tran, Past Compounds, 2023;
  • Charlemagne,
    Bruno Dumézil, PUF, 2024;
  • When the Indians spoke Latin. Alphabetical colonization in 16th century America,
    Serge Gruzinski, Fayard, 2023;
  • The Siege of Leningrad. September 1941-September 1944,
    Sarah Gruszka, Tallandier, 2024;
  • The Banned Election. Itinerary of Joséphine Pencalet, Breton worker. 1886-1972,
    Fanny Bugnon, Threshold, 2024.

After Charlotte de Castelnau-l’Estoile for Pascoa and her two husbands (PUF) in 2020, Hélène Dumas for Without heaven or earth (The Discovery) in 2021, Jérémy Foa for All those who fall (The Discovery) in 2022, Lucie Malbos for The Viking World (Tallandier) in 2023 and Arthur Asseraf, The Misinformant. In the footsteps of Messaoud Djebari, Algerian in the colonial world (Fayard), the next winner will receive their prize during the 28th edition of the Rendez-vous de l’histoire de which will take place from October 8 to 12, 2025.
