To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the MHSC, photographer Guilhem Canal publishes “50 Ans, 50 Regards”, a unique book bringing together interviews and portraits of emblematic figures of the club. An essential book for all fans of the Hérault Sport Club.

On the occasion of the fifty years of the Montpellier Hérault Sport Club (MHSC), Montpellier photographer Guilhem Canal unveils “50 Years, 50 Regards”, a unique book celebrating half a century of history and passion. Published by Les Éditions du Sombrero, this book offers 50 exclusive interviews and portraits of personalities who have marked the history of the club.

“Through 50 exclusive interviews with personalities who have marked the history of the club, this book is a real world tour carried out by our teams, from Miami to Sao Paulo, , Milan and even , to meet the personalities who have opened their souvenir boxes, around the MHSC,” says the book’s website.

Among those interviewed are historical figures, such as Michel Mézy, coach in the 1980s, René Girard, coach in the early 2000s, Laurent Blanc and Júlio César, players in the 1980s. But also Joris Chotard and Téji Savanier, who are currently at the club. Even Colette Nicollin and her sons Olivier and Laurent got in on the fun. “Relive the history of the MHSC through 50 exclusive interviews with emblematic players, historic members of the staff and passionate supporters,” underlines the publisher.

The interviews, collected by Guilhem Canal and Gwenaël Cadoret, reveal unpublished anecdotes and poignant stories, highlighting the values ​​and strong moments of “paillade”.
