Philosophical meetings in Langres. It is through the story of his own trip to Syria but also that taken from Delphine Minoui’s book, “The Book Smugglers of Daraya” that this 14th edition of the RPL concluded at the Michel-Humbert theater.

Resisting the war that is falling on the country and more precisely on the city where we live while maintaining openness to culture, this is the tour de force that the young people who established an underground library in the suburbs of Damascus. It is precisely this commitment which is at the heart of Delphine Minoui’s book which serves as support for the show offered this Sunday, October 6 as a conclusion to the ARPL 2024.

Alone on stage and alternating between reading passages from the book but also from his own stay in 1989 in Syria, Philippe Léonard captured the attention of the large audience who came for this last meeting around the theme of creation. And the creation, whether of a library or of links with others, was widely discussed during this very instructive show as to the force that drives the resistance.

On the part relating to his personal memories, Philippe Léonard notably mentioned the meeting with a family who welcomed them and hosted them for an evening and with whom relationships have spanned the course of time, as evidenced by the last meeting with the daughter of the family only a few years ago.
