The result of collective work, a book box was hung in front of the Brana cinema, in Vic-Fezensac, with the aim of passing the books from hand to hand.

The book box was recently placed at the entrance to the Brana cinema in the presence of Barbara Neto, mayor of Vic-Fezensac, Françoise Carboué, director of Vic Accueil, Julie Dagnaud, of the Departmental Media Library, Karine Labrousse, head of the Vicoise media library, Patricia Lafon, Gundula Hintzche and volunteers from Château Fleuri.

Authentic collective work: “Everyone participated by making a decoration. We had lots of ideas, and we moved towards ceramics and painting and everyone was delighted to participate! We were happy to meet again, because we had the impression of a beach of freedom. Under the close supervision of Patricia. We are delighted that our work can be found here at the Vic-Fezensac cinema. It will be part of Vicois life,” says one of the participants.

The director of Vic Accueil followed: “We had this request from a group of residents, who wanted intergenerational work! »

Taking books and their stories on a journey

Remember that Hugo Deligny, during an internship at the social center, took the project head on. Patricia Lafon, host at Château Fleuri, for her part discovered an art deco dresser, which served as book shelves. The decoration work was then done collectively at Château Fleuri.

These sessions were led by Gundula Hintzche for working with the earth and by Valérie Leroux for the plastic arts. The first named clarified: “It was the participants in the workshops who chose the patterns to create. » For her part, city councilor Barbara Neto said she was delighted by this partnership, which “gives meaning to the word culture”.

The book box shelves are already complete. The goal is simple, each Vicois can come and pick up a book, drop off another, or not… It’s up to everyone!
