The seven members of the jury for the German Book Prize 2024 have announced a final selection of six novels from 197 titles published between October 2023 and September 17, 2024. The award ceremony will take place on October 14, 2024 during the Frankfurt Book Fair.
With the German Book Prize, the Foundation for Book Culture and Reading Promotion of the Association of German Publishers and Booksellers honors the best German-language novel of the year. The winner will receive a prize of 25,000 euros and the five finalists will receive 2,500 euros. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Internet, including on the event website. The prize is mainly endowed by the Deutsche Bank Stiftung. The Frankfurt Book Fair and the city of Frankfurt am Main are also partners. Finally, Deutsche Welle promotes the prize in Germany and abroad.
