COn Thursday, around 7 p.m., a 7-year-old girl had to be rushed to hospital after being knocked down by a two-wheeler that was doing an urban rodeo in Vallauris, in the Alpes-Maritimes. The girl was crossing a pedestrian crossing when she collided with the motorcycle that was traveling in the opposite direction and at high speed on its rear wheel, reports Nice-Matin. The child was reportedly thrown more than ten meters after the impact.

As for the driver, he is a 19-year-old man with no criminal record who escaped unharmed. He was arrested and taken into custody, his alcohol and drug tests came back negative.
A local Facebook group plans to start a petition to call for speed bumps and other illuminated traffic signs in the area.
