Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that his telephone interview with American president Donald Trump was “very productive, exhaustive and sincere”.
“Today, my telephone interview with the President of the United States, my dear friend Mr. Donald Trump, was very productive, exhaustive and sincere,” said Erdogan in a publication on social network X, after the interview.
“I hope to meet my friend Trump in the near future,” said Erdogan, expressing the hope that their meeting “brings good prospects for our countries”.
Specifying that this interview has made it possible to tackle many regional and global issues, including the worsening of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Syria, the war between Russia and Ukraine, world trade, as well as the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, Erdogan declared that they had reaffirmed their mutual desire to strengthen the links between the two nations, in particular in the fields of defense and trade industry.
-“I have expressed my appreciation for President Trump’s efforts to end conflicts and on the world in the world, and I stressed that Türkiye is ready to provide the support necessary to establish peace, stability and security in our region,” said the Turkish president.
“I expressed my wish to welcome my dear friend to Türkiye as soon as possible, and he invited us in turn to the United States,” he added.
