The NBA Draft 2025 will be held on June 26. Among the many talents announced, two Senegalese players are on the official list of registrants published by the NBA Communications: Ousmane Ndiaye and Mouhamed Faye, both from the U18 generation and well installed in European championships.

Ousmane Ndiaye, 21, 2m11, trained in , proved to be during the Afrobasket U18 2022, of which he had finished 3 -point shooter. Since then, he has joined the national selection A and participated in several international , including the TQO 2023 and the Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers. This athletic pivot is currently evolving in the division with the CB Granada, where he continues to develop.

Mouhamed Faye, 2m07, former of the Jeanne d’Arc, is also a pure product of Senegalese basketball. Captain of the Lionceaux during the Afrobasket U18, he had distinguished himself as the best rebounder of the . Today, he plays in Serie A with Reggiana. His progression earned him an appointment to the LBA Awards in the category of the best player season. He signed up for the Draft for the second time, with more experience and maturity.

With a strong presence among the registrants, the Draft 2025 could mark a turning point for basketball on the continent. Ndiaye and Faye are, to , the only two Senegalese appearing on the official list.
