A fatal accident has just occurred in Baie-Mahault, according to the departmental fire and rescue service in Guadeloupe. The first assessment reports 5 deaths, five young people in his twenties and one seriously injured, aged 26.
The intervention is still underway in the fatal accident which occurred this Thursday morning May 8 around 6:30 am in Baie-Mahault. The accident took place between the Carrefour Beausoleil and that of Wonche. Two light vehicles are obviously involved, a frontal shock.
According to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Guadeloupe (SDIS 971) on site, the first assessment reports 5 deaths and a serious injuries. A 20 -year -old young woman and four young people also aged about twenty years are among people killed. The serious injuries is a 26 -year -old man who was transferred by medical transport to the Guadeloupe CHU. A very heavy assessment that mourns this start of the weekend of May 8.
20 firefighters including 3 officers were engaged in this intervention. The police are on site and a deviation was put in place, the traffic having been interrupted on the two axes. The mayor of Baie-Mahault, Hélène Polifonte also went to the scene of the accident.
