Asked about the association contract between the Muslim Lycée Averroès in Lille and the State, Xavier Bertrand; President of the Hauts-de-France region, said “I never ceased to consider myself a whistleblower”.

During his hearing at the commission of inquiry on the terms of state control and the prevention of violence in educational establishments, Bertrand said “I especially asked for the State since November 2017 to know whether or not the conditions were met for an association contract between the State and this high school to be always granted”.
