Faced with this situation, the government of the Nam Dan district has coordinated proactively with the forest guards and the management of the vestiges sites to synchronize many measures to prevent and control forest fires in order to ensure forest safety and preserve historical remains.

From the start of the hot season, on the funeral site of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan in the commune of Nam Giang, fire prevention measures were strictly implemented. With a total area of 48.2 hectares, including more than 20 hectares of pine forest, it is a destination that attracts thousands of visitors every day. The risk of forest fire is very high in case of recklessness when using the fire or the jet of cigarette butts.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, director of the board of directors of the Hoang Thi Loan funeral site, said: “We maintain a permanent patrol; The workers collect the dead leaves and regularly treat the ground. In addition, the fire prevention system of the funeral site has been systematically equipped with two pumping systems and twelve water lances placed in strategic places, thus guaranteeing rapid intervention in the event of an incident. »»

In particular, in the past year, the cemetery has invested in an automatic irrigation system which extends for almost a kilometer from the foot of the grave to the top of the tomb, in order to reduce the risk of fire. The fire -fighting water supply system is powered by the DAO river via 6 pumping stations, providing the supply of 5 large water tanks with a capacity of 60 to 100 m³.
-In order to strengthen the prevention and control of fires on the Hoang Thi Loan’s relics site, at the Forest Fire Tower in the Commune of Nam Giang, the forest guards coordinated with the Forest Management Council for special Um Dan to organize a 24 -hour vigilance. Mr. Nguyen Binh Trong, an official of the Forest Management Council, said: “The watchtower is located on a tower more than 10 m high, making it possible to observe the whole forest of Pins of Nam Giang and the neighboring areas such as Nam Linh, Nam Anh, Nam Thanh, even covering part of the forest in the Hung Nguyen and Thanh Chuong. ».

Not only Ms. Hoang Thi Loan’s tomb, but other relic sites in the region have also been strengthened in fire prevention. In the Chungs mountain, in the town of Kim Link, the forest guards treated vegetation on more than 70 hectares of forest. On the site of the relics of the temple of King May in the city of Nam Dan – where nearly 200 hectares of pine forest are located – nearly 10 km of firewall were maintained and repaired before the high hot season.

Mr. Vo Trong Cuong, director of the Nam Dan-Hung Nguyen forest protection department, said: “The NAM Dan district currently has more than 3,000 hectares of pine forests, many of which are adjacent to historic sites. Consequently, fire prevention and fight is always an absolute priority. To date, we have treated nearly 600 hectares of vegetation in key areas. »»

In addition, the entire district has completed the repair of the Miradors system, maintaining nearly 40 km of firewall, entirely equipped with 42 fire blowers, more than 10 lawn mowers and almost 1,000 fire extinguishers. Each municipality and each group of archaeological sites have a fire prevention and fighting card, including the main fire points, the gathering places for the fight against fires, help, logistics, ambulance forces, etc. To ensure a quick and effective response in the event of an incident.

Thanks to the drastic and proactive participation of the local authorities, the forest guards and the units concerned, the prevention work of forest fires on the historic sites of Nam Dan are implemented in a synchronous and methodical manner, contributing to the protection of the forest security of the historic sites of the region.
