On the occasion of the Bernache de Saint-Fulgence Festival, two new agrifood companies were launched: Verger Bella Croquer and Bittures vineyard. Supported by families rooted in the region, they combine local know-how, innovation and development of the terroir to instill new impetus into agrotourism.
The official launch of these two companies is part of the Bernache Festival, a flagship event of the municipality of Saint-Fulgence which is held on May 3 and 4. Located strategically at the entrance to the village, the new installations bet as much on fruit transformation as on tourist experience, by valuing the natural wealth of the region.
Verger Bella Croquer is an initiative of Guillaume Tremblay and his spouse Cathy Bouchard, both from the Anse-au-A-Foin farm. On site, visitors will be able to take advantage of the berry, strawberry, raspberry and apples, and take a gourmet break at the dairy bar offering homemade gelatos and sorbets. The space was designed to accommodate families in a friendly and bucolic environment.
The battures vineyard, meanwhile, is carried by the Bouchard family, already recognized for the Fjord distillery and its Gin Km12, in partnership with two passionate biologists, Luc Godin and Héloïse Côté. After three years of patience, the first harvests of 2024 allowed the development of white, rosé, red wines and drinks ready to drink, all from an organic culture.
Visitors to the festival will be able to discover these early products: Verger Bella Croquer will open the doors of its site located at 206 rue de Saguenay, while the battures vineyard will hold a kiosk at the Michel-Simard multifunctional center, at 257 rue de Saguenay. A unique opportunity to taste the fruit of local work imbued with know-how and respect for the environment.
