Make love for three. This fantasy, long relegated to the rank of taboos, is today shared by almost 40 % of women, according to a survey carried out by the free meeting platform Wyylde. A figure that speaks volumes about the evolution of female desires … and on their need to go off the beaten track. The three, or triolism plan, occupies a place of choice in the erotic imagination. This practice seduces by its promise of intensity, novelty, and sometimes even transgression. If we believe the Wyylde figures, 56 % of the couples interviewed consider this experience as a way to rekindle the flame. For many, it is a question of breaking the routine, exploring new sexual dynamics and of (re) discovering in the gaze of the other … or others.
Between envy and reality
But behind this burning fantasy hides a more nuanced reality. Because if many women admit this desire, little actually take action. The weight of social judgment, the fear of being misunderstood or stigmatized often slows down impulses. The fear of altering the image that we project, or the one we have of ourselves, remains tenacious. However, this desire does not date from yesterday.
