Still today considered one of the pioneers of rock in France, Danyel Gérard has been able to combine notoriety with discretion. Behind the image of the successful singer, known in particular for his tube Butterflyhid a man deeply attached to nature and animals. This more intimate facet of the artist was fully expressed in his house in Guerville, in the Yvelines, where he lived for several decades.
Nestled in a green setting, Danyel Gérard’s property did not look like any other. She hosted, for many years, a real ark of Noah. In a report of the program 30 million friendsbroadcast in 1977, we discovered the artist in full complicity with his animals: a monkey named Fifi, a goat called Manolo, a goat named Bambi, majestic peacocks, Chinese chickens, and even horses!
