For his only Parisian date at the Stade de France, Jul made a spectacular entry this Saturday, April 26. Coming from heaven, the prolific rapper reminded the roof of the building, carrying an accessory which represents it well: Adidas taps with socks. What, as everyone knows, is a fashionable faux -pas to assume for the common one, but which has always been part of Jul’s DNA – with the survival, of course.
This arrival is reminiscent of that of Tom Cruise during the Paris Olympic Games, or that of Johnny Hallyday, who appeared on the roof of the Stade de France in 1998. The Marseille rapper made his entry to the sound of getsCorsican music, thus paying tribute to its origins, since his father comes from the island of beauty.
His show, lasting 2:30, took place in front of 97,816 spectators. With this number, the 35 -year -old rapper broke the stadium record of the Stade de France who was held by Johnny Hallyday and Indochina. Impressive, but not so surprising, since Jul is the biggest album seller in his category, with a gold and platinum record.
Several artists came to share the scene with him, such as Dysinct, Naza, Mister You, PLK or Poupie. The concert, which displayed complete since all of the tickets were sold in a few minutes, allowed the most disappointed to follow the event live on an online platform, for the modest sum of 10 euros.
