
A Frontignan was attacked with a machete by its neighbor last April. The life of the victim only held thanks to a simple protection reflex.
The facts date back to April 26. An extremely violence scene took place on rue de la Porte de l’Hôpital in Frontignan. The victim owes life to a simple protective reflex. According to our information, the atmosphere was at least tense between the two neighbors for a few weeks. The two couples who lived side by side seemed until then to maintain friendly relationships. But a quarrel has occurred. And the situation took a bad turn because of a vehicle story.
The son of the victim struck
That day, it all started when the son, about fifteen years old from one of the couples, was attacked by the neighbor. The latter would have attacked him verbally before looking at him for several punches. The boy then opened up to his father. Who went immediately to ask the aggressor for explanations. The latter, seeing his rival arriving at his home, hastened to return inside a machete.
-Up to the bone
He then brandished the stabbing weapon, as he overlooked the victim. By reflex therefore, she raised her arm to protect her face. As a result, the blade cut the biceps from the bone. A very serious injury which, if another neighbor, good Samaritan this one, had not intervened to make him a tourniquet, would have cost the victim life.
The national police quickly arrived on the scene to challenge the respondent. The 59 -year -old man was placed in police custody at the Sète police station.
Weapons at home
At his home, the police discovered other white weapons like a Katana saber and what looked like a grenade. Defered in the prosecution for immediate appearance before the judicial court on April 30, the trial was referred, the president of the court having requested additional psychiatric expertise.
Due in particular of its judicial history, the accused was placed in pre -trial detention pending trial. The victim could have been operated, but the consequences remain to be evaluated. The injury was estimated by the legist’s 30 days of ITT.
