At the end of April, the regional investment committee of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region approved the realization of 31 tourist projects. Among other things, it is planned to build 3 5 -star hotels, including two in Tangier and one in Chefchaouen for a total amount of approximately two billion dirhams.
In Tangier, these two future 5 -star hotels will be located in the Al Manar area, not far from the sea, indicate sources, adding that these strategic projects aim to meet the high demand in this city in the North, a destination very popular with both Moroccan and foreign tourists.

Other tourism projects concern the creation of residences and units as well as 4 -star hotels. They aim to strengthen the capacity of the region and the city with 2,800 additional beds in the provinces such as Tangier, Tétouan and Chefchaouen, in anticipation of CAN Morocco 2025 and the 2030 World Cup.
According to the same sources, these major tourist projects are part of the economic dynamics driven by the authorities with a view to attracting more investments in the region, especially in the sectors such as the automobile, the textiles, the food and renewable energies.
