According to the same source, Casablanca Tech Valley embodies an ambitious vision for a balanced, competitive city capable of attracting investments while creating jobs with high added value.
Note that this project consolidates Casablanca’s position as an African technological hub par excellence. It is fully part of the national digital transformation strategy and strengthening integration into global value chains, thus establishing a clear orientation which makes technology and innovation a central pillar of inclusive urban development.
Located in the territory of the prefecture of Moulay Rachid, arrondissement of Sidi Othmane, this project is part of the category of transformative initiatives. “It aims to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth by anticipating increasing pressure on existing economic activity areas, while meeting the requirements of modern urban planning and environmental standards,” informs the same source.
It should be noted that the commune of Casablanca sees in this project a lever to promote spatial justice and territorial transformation, through an integrated approach combining innovation, social inclusion and local attractiveness.
In the end, the Casablanca Tech Valley technological pole should help rebalance the territories within the city, by valuing the local assets of Sidi Othmane and by creating a diversified economic fabric. This project should generate more than 20,000 direct jobs and expand the development base to include the various areas of the economic capital.
