The world of music was shaken by the tragic disappearance of Liam Payne last October. The singer died at the age of 31 following a fall from the balcony of his hotel in Argentina. According to the BBC which obtained documents, the net value of the succession of Liam Payne amounts to 24.3 million pounds sterling or around 28.6 million euros.
L‘British artist had not, however, written from Testament at the time of his death. In this case, the British law on the succession “AB Intestat” (without will) applies. This law generally stipulates that, in the absence of a surviving spouse or civil partner, the entire estate is transmitted to the children of the deceased. Liam Payne never got married but he had a son with Cheryl Tweedy, former singer of the Pop Girls Aloud group.
Now eight years old, Bear Payne will have to wait for his majority to reach the heritage that will hitherto be entrusted to Cheryl and Richard Bray, a lawyer specializing in the music industry. They were both appointed provisional administrators of the succession of Liam Payne and will manage the money with a limited power on its distribution.
