It has been a little over ten years since Geneva was laughing for the Laughter Festival. From its beginnings, the event gave pride of place to local talents, serving as a springboard for French -speaking artists. This year for his 11^e Edition, the festival organized by Estelle Zweifel and Tony Romanoiello is still honoring Swiss humor, but widens its horizons.

Joséphine Aymon-Reverdin, spokesperson for the event, says he is very enthusiastic: “The goal is to mix artists already known and well established with more emerging talents! This year, for example, we have checked, iconic figure of the French stand-up, which ensures the first evening. ”

The 42 -year -old French humorist opens the ball on Wednesday with his show “Rodeo”, which promises to be a dive into the tensions and contradictions of our time.

Thursday, it is the turn of the essential Thomas Wiesel to get on the boards. “This year, he has carte blanche to compose his own guest platform. It’s a novelty! ”Explains Joséphine Aymon-Reverdin. The opportunity for the Romand to orchestrate an evening filled with detonating guests, such as the Vaudois Yoann Provenzano, master in the art of self -mockery.

Young talents at the rendezvous

Among the artists to (re) discover during this edition, there is also the committed Julie Conti, the Cynique Lord Betterave as well as the AMANDINE LERDEL frontal. A table as fresh as it is festive.

To close the festival, the humorist Frédéric Recrosio returns to the stage and presents his solo with existential accents: “lasting, choosing and singing lullabies”. The staging is ensured by the emblematic Yann Marguet.
