MASKINONGED MRC. The funny spectacle healthy, presented on May 1 at L’Escale de Louiseville high school, has allowed nine young people aged 12 to 17 to express themselves with humor on mental health issues, in front of a school audience in the afternoon and the general public in the evening.
The Maskinongé MRC-Emploi-Emploi crossroads are delighted with the success of the second edition of the funny-minded project, the closing show of which was presented on May 1. Two performances took place at L’Escale de Louiseville high school. One at 1 p.m., in front of the students of the host school and the secondary school of the woods, and the other at 7 p.m., open to the population. This artistic project aims to promote positive mental health among young people and to break certain taboos by humor.
Since January, nine young people aged 12 to 17 have invested in this creative approach, accompanied by professionals from the National Humor School, a major partner of the project. They received the support of recognized animators and humorists, including Jean-François Baril to animation, as well as Andy Cerqueira, Alexandre Bisaillon and Josiane Aubuchon on stage.
-Financial support of $ 30,000 from the Ministry of Culture and Communications has enabled this initiative. Several organizations have also joined the project, notably the collective of united men for healthy masculinity (Les Chums), L’Escale high school, the Maskinongé MRC public transport corporation, as well as wetv, local Cogeco television.
Josée Bellemare, Director General of Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi MRC de Maskinongé, says he is proud of the journey accomplished by young people. “The young people worked in collaboration with the National School of Humor to write their text individually or in duet and they have delivered them brilliantly! “She adds,” all the young people who participated in the project have had an enriching group experience, who will remain engraved in their memory for a long time. »»
The numbers presented addressed with sensitivity and self -deprecation various subjects related to mental health, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Alzheimer, anger management or even pressure.
