Germán Gutiérrez and Carmen Garcia are at the helm of this documentary on Lyne Lapointe who, since her youth, has explored the materials.

, Lyne Lapointe works the , , adding colors … Then, the multidisciplinary artist, interviewed in her workshop, tells his childhood in Hochelaga with a father who will commit suicide.

Very small – she is a pre -adolescent when she creates her works – she collects and collects objects with multiple textures which will be the basis of her creations. Then, when she was 18, she goes to Ottawa to continue her studies. She meets Martha Fleming, an art critic, and the two fall in with each other before separating 15 years later.

Inteiented with interviews with many of her friends and acquaintances, the interviews with Lyne Lapointe retrace her artistic approach, her interests and the way in which she develops her works – including a love of the experiment she keeps today. Her workshop and house are real Ali Baba caves, his drawers are full of objects and materials in several of his works – raw cotton, papers, etc. She is also interested in abandoned buildings to install her creations, such as this old station in Montreal.

Lyne Lapointe also recounts her feminist fights, speaks of the traditional representation of the woman’s body, discrimination against lesbians and shows how resolutely her creations are in with her time.
