With rechargeable hybrid technology, the latest supersportive with the rear central engine of the English firm will ultimately be produced only 999 units.
We had never known him so active. Aston Martin is on all fronts. In competition, the English manufacturer is present in Formula 1 and endurance with Hypercar prototypes (WEC and IMSA) but also with a GT battalion. In the field of production, animated by the ambition to compete with Ferrari, its creativity appears without bounds. Already composed of four families of models – DB12, DBX, Vanquish and Vantage -, the range will be enriched during this year of the Supercar Valhalla. Like the famous Valkyrie which it is inspired on the plane of style, the new Berlinette is based on a monocoque cell in carbon fibers and on a rear central motor architecture.

If the Valhalla only gives 76 hp to its big sister, technologies differ. Gaydon’s latest birthday combines an unpublished 4 liter Biturbo with flat crankshaft and dry crankcase of 828 hp with three electric motors with a total power of 251 hp. These three machines are powered by a battery ensuring an electric autonomy of 14 km. The two engines housed in the front axle ensure the electric propulsion, the third is installed in an automatic transmission with double clutch with 8 -speed.

Much more efficient than what the English firm had announced – top speed of 350 km/h and 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 s -, the Valhalla fully benefits from the expertise of the competition and Formula 1 in particular. Depending on the activated mode, driving aids are calibrated differently and especially the rear spoiler adopts a specific position. The interior, particularly stripped, is distinguished by the centralization of controls on the central screen and a double -flat steering wheel inspired by F1. There remains a weight of weight: its price.
