Tangier Med Port finished exercise 2024 with a turnover of 11.23 billion dirhams ($ 1.212 billion), marking an increase of 12.3% compared to 2023.
The Tangier Med group said that the port reached a historic milestone in 2024 because it treated 10.24 million equivalents twenty feet (EVP). With these figures, the port reaffirms its position as a regional hub and its role as a key platform for national imports and exports.
In a press release, he described the port as the first HUB in the Mediterranean and Africa, recalling the last classification of Alphaliner which places the Moroccan port in 17th in the world.
The Tangier Med group operates 25 terminals for handling containers and goods in bulk through Marsa Maroc, which also celebrated a record year with 63.3 million tonnes handlers. This represents an increase of 11% compared to 2023.
The total volume of goods from the group, including the operator’s performance of the Tangier Med port complex and Marsa Morocco, reached 187 million tonnes and 11.33 million EVP during the past year.
