It was a face known for the latter roles. Charley SCALIES, 84, died on May 1, said in the American specialized press his daughter this Sunday. The actor suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, reports his daughter to the Hollywood Reporter taken up in France, in particular by 20 minutes and BFMTV.
Charley SCALIES had notably playing the role of Thomas “Horseface” Pakusa in one of the biggest TV series, “The Wire”. He also made an appearance in the series “Les Soprano” in which he plays the role of Coach of Tony Soprano.
With Al Pacino
If he had started by doing stand-up and theater at the time of the school as recalled by the BFMTV site, Charley Scalies returned to the stage in the 90s. He then appeared to the cinema alongside Al Pacino in “Instant de Happiness”, Terry Gilliam in “The Army of the 12 Monkeys” and Ben Affleck in “Father and daughter”.
He also appeared punctually in other television series such as “Cold Case”, “Homicide” and “New York, judicial police”.
