Tuesday, May 6, a 2-year-old child fell out of the window of an apartment in Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes).
The boy fell from the 8th floor before finding himself in cardio-respiratory arrest.
Despite the rescue intervention, he did not survive.
The drama took place at the end of the afternoon, in a building of the HLM Les Romarins residence in Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes). Shortly after 5 p.m., a 2 -year -old boy went through the family home window before falling from 8 floors.
Alerted by witnesses, the firefighters of the departmental fire and rescue service of the department (SDIS06) and the mobile emergency and resuscitation structure (SMUR) immediately went on site to take care of the very young victim who was then in cardio-respiratory and polytraumatized.

Despite the rescue intervention, the little boy unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. An investigation was opened by the Grasse prosecutor’s office to determine the circumstances of the drama.
According to information from Nice morningit was the grandparents of the victim who took care of the little boy when the latter had his accident. The child’s mother was at work.
