A sixth coronation for their coach Florent Pagny who had flair by associating these talents with powerful voices during the second stage of the competition.

“Our story is a film”summarized during the final Sébastien Longhi, professor of schools 37 years in the North. When asked this Sunday noon what would be the title, his choice is not unanimous with his comrades. “The great adventure? It’s null, it looks like a bourvil film!”laughs Salvatore, Belgian restaurateur of the same age. Between them and levon, Marseille of 31 years, the valves fuse and good humor is communicative. The Trio rewinds for us in recent months that have changed their lives.

Should we call the program “The Voices” now?

Levon : No, no, it’s “The Voice”. Certainly, there are three of us in the group, but we only train. We only sing in a voice.

It means means “The cello”. What do you think you have held the rope in the face of your competitors?

Levon : There was immediately a real craze around the trio. We felt it on the set from the creation of the group by Florent Pagny. In the days that followed the broadcast, we also saw it on social networks. It was huge. I think this is the fact that the trio was created by Florent. It’s his return too, we are not going to hide. I also think, in all modesty, that we have remained ourselves. We get along well and that, people see it. Being three has advantages, but also disadvantages. It is three times more complicated to set up, three times more time, energy and three times harder to go on stage. We managed to find this harmony in our voices, sing together and do it well.

Win with 49% of the vote is strong …

Sébastien : It is true that we did not expect such a score. We did not even think about it in fact, not until the envelope arrived and when we thought it was possible to win. We were really in the adventure with friends because the other candidates became friends. There was no competition between us.

You have gotten to know yourself in recent months. Describe your two comrades in three words.

Salvatore : For Sébastien, I would say wise because it is the one who reminds us a little to order. He’s really the teacher. I would also say balance and effective. He also has beautiful hair (laughs) ! Levon is love, power and incredible musical ear. We need this crapule (laughs).

Levon : Regarding Salvatore, I would say angel voice, good humor because we laugh a lot all three, and height because with his voice, he is able to get into the stars. If you don’t hold it a little, it can fly away. For Sébastien, I would say crystalline voice – he sings very precise -, kindness and funny, but without knowing it. He doesn’t do it on purpose.

Sébastien : Pierre Richard what (laughs) ! For Levon, I will say power, musician and kind. And Salvatore, I wouldn’t say anything because he annoys me … I laugh (laughs) ! I’m going to say sensitive, piercing and human voice.

Salvatore : Are you a robot? (laughs)

Levon : That’s what’s crazy!

Sébastien : They are boring anyway, huh! (laughs)

Levon : It is crazy that Florent could have had this vision. It’s up to us to write the rest with our work.

Your journey is also an accumulation of little chance. Starting with the fact that Florent Pagny was not to come back this year, but next season. Did you also think of not getting started this year?

Levon : Not me, no. I had already tried to do “The Voice” twice, in 2016 and 2020. Salvatore and I passed the cast at the same time at the Dalida Institute, which is a music school in Aix-en-Provence.

Salvatore : Do you remember when we were waiting for our call to find out if we were taken? We were very stressed.

Sébastien : I intended to register a few years ago and then the death of my dad jostled everything in my life. I saw that there was a cast in Aumont. I said to myself: “I am 37 years old, I try one last time anyway and it may be the right one”. It was the case!

Levon : All planets were aligned. If the rules had not changed to create the group stage, it would have been impossible for Florent Pagny to bring us together. The three of us are all this year, in the same place … it was written.

When Florent Pagny proposed that you are continuing the group adventure, did you doubt in the days that followed?

Levon : It’s not even in the days, but in the minutes. At the time, we were happy because we continued the adventure, but we apprehensive. We were a little perplexed at the idea of ​​being one. We had all the scenarios in the head, but not this one. Working and singing alone is one thing. Doing it with three is another. These are compromises, concessions. Today, we are more motivated than ever. We were a bit in the blur at first, but here we know where we are going.

Who chose the name of the group, who recalls others like he divo or he volo?

Salvatore : When we got out of scenes after the group stage, the artistic director of “The Voice” offered us several names. We took a few days to think and opted for that one.

Levon : It sounds well in the ear and symbolically, the cello is a string instrument which is very close to the human voice. We are somewhere, too, an instrument with several strings.

What surprised you the most at Florent Pagny?

Sébastien : His benevolence, he is very benevolent.

Levon : Were you surprised that?

Sébastien : Let it be so much, yes. It is really very simple and attentive. We can’t dream better. We get an idea when we see the stars on TV, we imagine how they could be, if the coaches really have time to be there for talents … Florent Pagny really takes time for us.

Yes, it was incredible. He gives off such a aura, it’s crazy. I had talked about it to Levon and Sébastien saying to them: “You will see, it’s crazy!”

Florent Pagny left with the trophy but do you know if you are going to receive everyone in yours?

Levon : We are negotiating this with the producer of the show because it was not planned at the base. It would still be good that we have remembered a trophy each, placed at home.

Your first single “A woman” is now available on platforms. How was this song born?

Levon : It was written and composed by Thierry de Cara and Mark Weld, two truly great people who asked us a lot of questions, especially for the words. It is a theme that was important to us. The three of us are very attached to the women around us, we wanted to pay tribute to all women. We had very little time to record it in the studio. It was the first time that he interpreted it live yesterday (SATURDAY). It was a challenge, it is not easy to sing, there are a lot of Harmos. What do we send!

The three of you come from different backgrounds. Can we imagine hearing Armenian sounds on your album with a little Duduk or Sicilian sounds?

Levon : We indeed want to bring our different universes to create that of Il Cello with our three personalities. It would not move us to have a little Duduk on a song, to pay tribute to Sicily in Salvatore or north of Sébastien or to Armenia. To be frank, the album will also be in consultation with Florent. He told us about his desire to be present in the direction that we were going to take. Today, we rest and tomorrow, we are starting to work.

Florent Pagny invited you to join him on his tour next year. Is that the icing on the cake that you don’t expect?

Salvatore : It gives us a lot. We can’t wait to be able to share moments with him on stage, get to know him more and collaborate with him. It is an honor.

Sébastien, are you going to finish the school year anyway?

I will try, even if I suppose there will be small holes here and there where I should be replaced. I always have the same replacement. Everything will depend on what we are asked level planning. But it has already been seen with my hierarchy. From the next school year, I will take an availability of at least a year. I will see later if I continue or not, depending on the adventure.

Salvatore, are you ready to leave the brewery?

Yes of course. It’s been a while since I started to put it in management with the turn that “The Voice” took. We had to make concessions each on our side. Now we will continue in this direction and go there to have no regrets.

Levon, did you already live music?

Yes, I have been working as a musician and singer in the event of the event for a few years now. I always had odd jobs next to it, I was a server in a younger restaurant. I was on the front of the stage, in the shade, I saw everything that happens behind the scenes with artists. I was part of a dance company. The scene is really where I feel best.

The castings are already open for next season. What would be your best advice to singers who still hesitate to get started?

Salvatore : Do not hesitate because it is an adventure of incredible benevolence. It’s really a family. If there is a competition to do, it’s really this one.

Sébastien : Stay yourself especially! If you try to hide behind a character, they will see it and it will not please them.

Levon : I would also say that I do not let go and work. You have to be ready in your head and in your universe. And if it should be done, it will be done.
