Judicial film festival, Pertuis
What is the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal world, and in fineon the judgment of citizens? After a previous edition devoted to the dangers of social networks, the impact of AI on the work of justice, will be the heart of this third Judicial Film Festival, May 13, 2025 in Pertuis, at the Le Luberon cinema.
AI: What are the challenges for judges?
Why a festival on AI? Because French justice, like that of other countries, is not free from the development of this new intelligence in the tools used by magistrates, lawyers … Development not without consequences on the judicial institution.
“At a time when the sovereign missions of the State that are the army and security transform in contact with new technologies, justice, too, is won by the digital revolution to the point that we are now talking about algorithmic justice“, underlines Jean-Philippe Lejeune, president of the court court of Avignon, in the press release of the festival.”We are in the presence of a story that can end well, as it can end badly, artificial intelligence representing as much a potential tool for judges as a potential constraint.”
For the public prosecutor of Avignon, Florence Galtier, the six films presented on the occasion of the festival must allow to explore “These dilemmas“And to question the impact of AI”on law, truth and morality“, within an institution, justice, guided by”Reason, empathy and the sense of the common good“.
