Insurance figures in Belgium also increased, from 37.2 million euros in 2023 to 39.9 million euros in 2024. Health insurance for expatriates is also up, reaching 171.2 million euros in 2024 (against 149.6 million euros in 2023). The operating profit, taxes and net profit have all increased compared to the previous year, indicates the annual focus report.
In addition, Foyer noted that Romain Becker had left the Board of Directors and expressed his “vivid thanks for his active and committed contribution”. Romain Becker has been part of the board of directors since 2000. Antonio Caño (formerly CEO of AG Insurance, currently Managing Director of Ageas and member of the Achmea Supervisory Board) and (Formerly CEO of Degroof Petercam, member of the Board of Directors and the Exemption from the Belgian Federation of the FEBELFIN financial sector, and member of the Baloise Group Board of Directors) have been appointed as new members of the Board of Directors.
