Result: a disappointing 17th place of the most prolific manufacturers since the beginning of the year, while in 2024, Tesla was in eighth position. Worse still for Tesla: the manufacturer could boast of offering the favorite electric car of the Belgians. Last year, no less than 13,223 Tesla passed there in Belgium. This placed the car not only in the first place of electricity sales but also all engines combined, relatively far ahead of the Dacia Sandero (11,496 units sold in petrol) and the BMW X1 (9,886 hybrids and 6,912 in full electric).
Over the first two months of the year, only 1,045 Tesla were registered there in Belgium, against a monthly average of 1,100 in 2024, according to the FEBIAC figures.
After three catastrophic first months, Tesla hoped to bounce back. But the registration figures are hardly delightful for the American mache: in April, only 570 copies of its four models (3, S, Y and X) have passed. This has made the month of April the worst month in terms of registration since January 2023. The first year of reference according to COVID: 2020 and 2021 had been sealed by the confinements and 2022 by the shortage of micro-processors.
Logically, Tesla’s shareholders see Elon Musk’s the main cause of the fall. His many escapades, including his Nazi salvation, have greatly displeased. In the United States as elsewhere.

To the point that an anti-TESLA movement was born. A few weeks ago, Tesla cars were tagged. And stickers affixed by the owners of Tesla cars. “I bought this car before I learned that Elon Musk was crazy,” we read on one of them.
Others indicate that the drop in sales of Tesla would be due to an aging of the models. The new Tesla could rebut the cards there.
Note that these figures are not the exact reflection of the current trend: these are registrations, which generally occur several weeks after the order. We therefore speak of vehicles that were bought at the beginning of 2025. In the coming weeks, the Tesla registration figures could still collapse given the recent disenchantment between Europe and the United States.
